Dear All,
This week was amazing in regard to getting people on date for baptism.
Look...our zone set a goal for 15 people by the end of the transfer
which is right now and we got it! This transfer was amazing for us.
The awesome thing is is that 11/15 people on date belong to Sudley,
that is, us Spanish missionaries haha they just kept coming and
coming! with that said we got 6 new investigators this week and 2 of
them we got on date for baptism in the first lesson!!! It was so
epic...me and Elder Brunsdale have 5 investigators on date now.
So this Tuesday we had Stella hit us. We woke up to some snow and
seriously everyone here was like...freaking out over a few inches of
snow. It's just not normal here haha. The fleet was grounded so we
cleaned our apartment hardcore that day. We ended up taking out 4
trash bags of compiled plastic water bottles that Elder Cottle and
Lucero started back in August...missionary apartments are nasty.
This Thursday we had a lesson with our Obispo's neighbor! It was a
referral from Obispo and he let us in and we taught him. He's pretty
cool but his mother in law had some weird objections haha she was like
"Ustedes oren a Jose Smith cierto?" and we were like no no we don't
pray to Joseph Smith haha I wonder how people mix that up. We invited
him to baptism, his name is Candido, but he said he's already baptized
in the Catholic Church and he doesn't plan on being baptized again.
Dang...
We had a random exchange on Friday into Saturday and I went to Elder
Castillo's area with him. It was great and I got to know him a whole
lot better. We stayed up til like 1 in the morning just talking and
that was the first time in my life I've stayed up that late speaking
in Spanish haha Elder Castillo doesn't have super great English.
Not much happened until Sunday morning we went to have a lesson with a
new guy named Christian. He was pretty prepared and he told us in the
lesson that he is pretty interested in assisting with us to church!
Never have I had an investigator tell me they're interested in going
to church. He didn't have time yesterday but he said next week. We had
church and correlation after in Obispo's house with our WML Angel
MontaƱez and then we had some people to try at night out in Warrenton
again but we didn't have any lessons š° the Tarboga family dropped us
and said they're not interested in changing religions. Dang...seguimos
buscando.
Well we got transfer doctrine last night and I will be staying here
with Elder Brunsdale for a second transfer! We're also getting another
pair of Hermanas and it's weird because Hermanas Rasmussen and Miller
are both staying but getting different companions. Elder Hild will be
going back to the English program. Anyway that's what's gone down with
me this past week. I hope all of you have a better week and that you
always remember who you are!
